Do you use raincoat or umbrellas?  

I will wish you the rain that my community has had for over a week now and the forecast is for another week to go over to you instead. I feel sogged down and and have had enough rain for a bit. I am in eastern Canada right off the Atlantic Ocean. Here the winds can be quite strong so an umbrella is almost useless here. Most people here will use a rain coat or a coat that is waterproof when walking in the rain instead of an umbrella because the wind will break the umbrella.

If it's a nice warm day and I have no reason to protect my hair, I'd choose to use neither! I love the feel, sound, smell and taste of rain!
If I need to have protection from it, I'll go with the umbrella. Rain coats are just so cumbersome, noisy and just plain HOT.
An umbrella that would go over you and down past your shoulders while giving you a 'window' would be awesome. Do they make umbrellas like that? hmmmm...

I'd choose umbrella. I think it's easier to use. Like if it suddenly rains...I can just pull it out of my bag, and open it. With raincoats, I think they are a lot uncomfartable. And you have to wear them which is an additional thing to do, and a hassle for me.

In general I prefer use umbrella.. I got less hot with that instead with a raincoat lool IF if really rain hard, I will use the both or just the raincoat,,depending of my mood hehe.

No not really since I find umbrellas pretty annoying and just dont like carrying them unless if im out in the rain for a very long time then I would bring an unbrella if not ill just where my hat and walk very fast to get indorrs since I dont mind the rain for a few seconds it dosnt really bother me that much.

I used umbrella since it very easy to use and to open, i always bring umbrella with me because its rain protection as well as sun protection. And its very affordable and easy to bring because there are so many kinds of umbrella i used the 3 folds one so that i can easily carry it when ever i go.

When there is a mild rain going on, I wouldn't use an umbrella or raincoat at all.
Like you said, rain can be nice. However, too much rain can get us a serious cold and in that case I would prefer an umbrella. I have a small, foldable one that I can pop out of my purse within secondes. Getting on a raincoat takes much longer and getting the coat off without getting wet from the raincoat itsself can be tricky in some cases. Therefor I would definitely choose an umbrella.

Better than umbrellas are heavy towels and warm coats that make the water bead off. The rain coat is good for protecting clothing that you don't want to get ruined. I think that umbrellas should be used mainly for the sun to keep it off our face because the UV rays are harmful to the skin.
