~ Celebs & Drug Use - Why Do They Do The Things They Do??~  | |  After hearing about the deaths of Ed McMann, Farrah Fawcett, & Michael Jackson, this past week, I wanted to ask everyoone in here who actually does use My Lot, to add your own imput to this Question. After Keith Moon, (of The Who) Jim Morrison, (of The Doors) Kurt Cubain, Michael Hutchenson, (of the Orginal Lineup of the 1980's Music group, INXS) then Anna Nicole Smith, & now with Michael Jackson all dieing of either Alcohal related issues or Prescription Drug & Narcatic Drug use, I was wonder what Your personal thoughts & ideas were as to why YOU think all Celebs either Experiement (rather heavily, mind you...) or get addicted to Illegal drugs and/or to Alcohal? Why do You think that so many well known Celebs give into this world? Could it be because the majority do happen to come from Broken Homes? Or could it be because of Loneliness & Deep Depression that drives these people to become so Distructive or is because "THEY CAN" & happen to have a lot of Money, or could it be prehaps both or could it be because of something else altogether? Has anyone else ever wondered why this is?? If so, Please let all of us in here known what you think are the reasons to Celebs to behave like this. Your imput is always Highly appreciated! He lost Neverland Ranch last year, and also all the trials he went through with the child molestation charges against him spanning a decade. I was told he had an addiction to Morphine, now he may have taken that because of stress but at the same time he also had an injury once, I believe it was a broken hip or something. Now that could be a factor for the morphine addiction as well but I believe more so that stress played a huge part in his death. | |

| | 3.  jt1981 (113) | 6 months ago | i think it's a combination of reasons you talked about. when you're famous like that, it's probably hard to have any real friends because everyone (even family) wants to use you for something. even if you do have friends, you can't tell anyone everything about your life or you'll see it in the tabloids the next day. this must lead to loneliness which in turn would lead to depression. also, it's easy for them to go to a doctor and say "my back hurts" and get a prescription for a painkiller. i used to work for a doctor and they give their friends preferential treatment, so i'm sure they'd give a celebrity a prescription too. some people probably do it with the mindset of "i do it because i can," but some people like anna nicole and michael jackson, seem like they've always lived with that deep sadness, and they died because of their attempts to ease the pain. | |

Personally I think they get caught up in the fast life...parties, other celebrities, money, money and more money and they just start thinking they are untouchable. Add to that the fact that their under a microscope for the world to watch every thing they do and that's a lot of pressure. It's awfully easy to become addictive and unless you leave that lifestyle behind, you can be trapped in it forever.
