Death and burials nowadays is so expensive. A funny thing sometimes goes with the reason why some relatives cried so much to their buried relatives because of the debts left behind after its death..
If you would be visiting a death or a wake of a friend, what would you give as an alms a cash or in kind..?

That would have to depend on the person that passed, how they were related to me personally. If you have lost someone in your life then you have to look at it personally what they meant to you in how you would pay your respects to the family.
Not all give cards or cash. Many give flowers or gifts of hope, of frienship, a shoulder to borrow now and then. You have to look within your own self to know what is right to give in those times.
