do you think PTC sites are harmful to your PC?

I too have realized the same warnings from my anti virus. But i think that it shouldn't be a problem, since you are not installing any files to your PC, or downloading, but I may be wrong. Hope someone can shed some light.

I'm using Google Chrome so sites with malware on them are only opened after I specifically tell it too and pop-ups are blocked completely. Works great for me. My anti-virus is practically unnecessary...

And no. I wont disable that function for less than a cent. Though if someone paid me a full buck per site I would consider it, after installing a Linux (since most viruses/malware programs are developed for Windows)...

When I first started joining PTC sites, I didn't know much about it, and I didn't think about the fact that some sites could be bad for my computer, I just joined lots of different sites. I have never had any serious problems, but a few times my computer has started to act a bit strange when I had been using some of the sites. I immediately left those sites and never came back. I just don't want to take the chance. If I have to pay someone to fix my computer it will cost a lot more than the few cents that I could earn on a PTC site.

I think it's not just the PTC sites that pop up virus but the internet in general is always a risk. That's why it's so important to have a good and reliable anti virus and internet security (updated) program installed on your computer/laptop and run a whole system scan regularly.

I have found recently that more and more viruses and trojans are popping up out of nowhere, even in the traffic exchange sites.
