great movie

Yes, I agree; I started a discussion on this a very long time ago. It is of course not just a love story but deals with a very difficult period in history that is still having ramifications today. It is also a time that many of us in West, especially in the U.S. know very little about. I found it to be very educational even if it may not have been totally accurate which is something I am not in a position to judge. It also helped that it starred one of my favorite actresses, Kristin Kreuk, who did a fantastic job in a role unlike any she had done before then. It is too bad her movies have not been promoted the way thay deserve. Her recent one, "Streetfighter: The Legend of chun Li" was very good for a game genre film and was better than other ones that came out around the same time that got more press and wider distribution. It really should have been more widely promoted and distributed just as "Partition" should have been. In my opinion "Partition" was much better than the widely promoted "Australia" and Kristin Kreuk was much, much better in it than Nicole Kidman was in "Australia."
