Would you report a close family member or friend for child abuse?

There is a hugh difference between abuse and discipline and sometimes the law tend to stick its nose where it doesn't belong.I'm a firm believer in spare the rod and you will spoil the child.If the kid needs his or her butt cracked then do it.Too many times I've witnessed little johnney running rampid through stores acting up with the parents stressing saying your going to get a time out.The laws need some changes made to them.Parents shouldn't be afraid of being charged with abuse for discipline or their kids being taken from them.Adults that do really abuse kids should be jailed.If I witnessed it in my home or anywhere someone would get their butt kicked before the law was called.I also believe that foster homes need more strict guide lines and should be checked out more often.I think our welfare system sucks.
