No Air Conditioning! AHHHHH!

I have used cool damp towels and sitting in front of a fan. If you open window to get a cross breeze and then have fans going to circulate the air, that helps too. In your car, you could try a battery operated personal fan. You could mount it on your dashboard. Wearing loose and light-weight clothing and changing at work is a good idea too. Make sure you keep yourself well hydrated-the heat depletes us of water faster than we realize.

I had a car with no air and drove it for several years. It was great on gas and used no oil and money wasn't there to fix the air either. My mom bought me this hankie thing that you put in the freezer then put it around your neck to keep you cool. I didn't think it would work but it did, much to my surprise. She found it in the sporting goods section where she picks up her golf equipment. Cost around $7 to $10 dollars and I am still amazed at how well it works.

Those days are gone, but I still have it. I use it on hot days I have to be outside messing around the yard or if I'm on the golf course myself.

I think that I know what you are going true and with the summer being so hot we sweat more than snowmen in the beach. I don't like the heat at all I don't know what might be the temperature were youare from but we have some realy hot days hear today I think it was 109F and I was really bad. Mycar is not working at the moment but even if it was the AC those not work either. Today I had to go sign some paper and it was about 30 minutes from my house to the office were I had to go and my cousins car those not have an AC either and his seats are also made of leather. So when I got on I got burned and then when I got to the office my back was stuck to the seat with all the sweet. I just hope that when my husband finishes the car he would actually fix the AC. I wish that you would also be able to get your AC fixed as soon as posible because the heat is vearly starting. Well good look and happy mylotting.

We didn't have air conditioning in our car for many years when I was a kid, my Mom use to wear very light cloths to work and then get herself a quick spit bath and change her shirt before reporting to work, she thought nothing of it because that was just what people did in those days.

ohhh... no air conditioning in a car with high temperature outside is very annoying. The best thing is to drink lot of water and keep all the windows open. In such a case, if you keep the blower ON, it helps in increased circulation of air and helps reducing the person's sweating. If there are leather seats in your car, the sweating can also be reduced if you keep a dry cloth towel on the seat back. Take care...

OMG! I'm almost the same way! My mom got me a car with leather seats to, and I was totally against it since they get sooo hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. When we went to test drive the car everything seemed fine. Now this summer everytime I go and try to use my A/C my car starts to go super slow and for no reason, even when I'm pressing down on the gas. I seriously almost go in a car accident. And the worse part is I don't have the money to fix it.

I havent had air in my car for 3 yrs...I live in FL.....if I can survive..so can you.....

while what you are doing is a good idea to carry your clothes and change it there, why don't u use public transportation like a train. i am sure they provide for more air circulation

I was feeling the pain of no AC at my boyfriend's house for a long time because his parents kept thinking that it was not hot enough to put the air conditioner on. Well, we living in California, out near the desert and it is a great time to be putting the AC on.

We had our AC off last night for some reason and it was pretty hot, I'm sorry your AC isn't working. Whenver I'm hot I'll usually get close to a fan to cool off, or sometimes I'll eat some ice cubes haha. Cold showers feel amazing too whenever your heated.
