Could MJ have just been in a coma?......

If the doctor is now saying he was breathing before he did CPR.....Why would he perform CPR?
How did they know he went into cardiac arrest?
Does anything think he was in a coma?

I've heard so many conflicting stories that it's hard to know which is the truth. I think they considered Michael to be in a coma at one point when he was supposedly breathing shallow. Who knows though. It is very confusing to me.
