Would you date a single dad?

Well.. this question sure is tricky. However, given the circumstances that love is blind. Maybe I would date a single Dad. I mean in the end it's love that counts. Even if that person is a single Dad, I think he deserves the right to love again no matter what.

I think it is ok if you date as single dad as you say he is not in any relationship so there should not be a problem.The only problem you may come across is that the child may say to you that you are not his mum so you can not tell him to do anything,that is what kept happening to one of my friends.Happy Mylotting.

i am a singe mom, so if he is a single dad as well then i bet we both clicked for each other. lol just kidding!
yeah its okay, no big deal. just like what u've said, as long as he and the girl is not married or no longer attached with each other. But basically, even if u both are okay with it, still ur family in the other hand will be totally against it.. believe me..;) knowing for the fact that the guy already has a kid..

I would definitely not get involve with a single dad, maybe a single mom is possible as I am male too. I think at the end of the day it is the feelings of the people involved and not how the society's view that matters most of all.

I smiled when I read your discussion, cause I'm actually dating one.=) And I cannot be happier.=) At first I had doubts, cause he already had a son, so I won't be his priority anymore, even my parents didn't like him at first. But now it's all good, we have been together for 3 years, and I love his son like my own already. I think having a son made him more responsible and it made his priorities in life straight.=)

As long as he's not committed in a relationship it's okay to date with a single dad. most important love the kid too of a guy.

LIkewise. I see no reason not to date a single dad. If I really love the man, why not? It doesn't matter whether he has a child already or not.

Yes, I would. Also keep in mind that single dad's and single mom's will always be involved with their child's mother or father, they will always be connected to them and have to have communication with them.

This is just one of those things that you have to accept when you get involved with someone who has children.

It will also be alright to date with a single dad. I actually admire him better than a bachelor because he has proven that he has his sense of responsibility. I'm not the jealousy type of partner but I'm not saying that it's still ok to meet up and deal with the mom of the child. As long as the mom has her own life as well, I'm gonna consider dating with a single dad.

If the guy isn't married or is legally separated or divorced from the child's mother, I don't see why not. However, that situation can be tough on the part of the single girl (in this scenario, me). Why? Well, the guy and the kid's mother will always have a connection, a special one - the child. So there might be special ocassions where the guy will have to spend time with the kid and it's mother and that could be quite devastating. But if the guy would give me the assurance I need to feel secure in his feelings for me, then I don't see any reason why having a kid or being a single dad will complicate things between us.
