can only speak two languages.that's Filipino and English. i often use English for that's the medium we use in communicating at home and work. i also tried to be fluent with both because that would be beneficial in the future.i don't try other languages since i find it more complicated and can't memorize lots of alien words.

Aside from our native language Filipino and English (as my second language), I can also write and speak Spanish. My parents knew how to speak that language as its part of their curriculum when they were still studying back in the old days. I can understand a little French as well but not that much though my bf also wants to study Spanish, not only for personal but also for business purposes as he travels a ot.

Mexican spanish is the same here in our country as I have watched some of Antonio Bandera's Mexican movies (before he became famous). There was a galleon trade from Philippines to Acapulco during the Spanish times and this is why he have the same Spanish dialect. The Spanish that we have learned is different with the Spanish language in Spain, Spanish has different dialects as well.

I know a few words of Hebrew and French. Not enourgh to get by, but enourgh to get me into trouble. I was actually surprised the other day; a friend of mine (Canadian) posted a thought on Facebook, and I actually understood what he said. I would have thought that my college French would be all forgotten by now. Then again, it is a good thing that I retain some of it; after all, I plan on going to get a Master in Literature and need to maintain some level in another language to accomplish that.

I always learn the bad words first so I dpn't say to much unless I know what they mean bwcause I don't want to hurt anybody feelings from saying something that's bad to them.

they say it's an SOP to learn the bad words first for some alien languages.so that you will know whether you are cursed or being praised.it was a joke but i think it's true.i agree to that.
