Further to my discussion abou the queen and her asking for more money

Watchin this morning, it was revealed that the queen only have 21 million pound left to last her till 2012 for the maintaince of the palace and to pay her staff etc, it does not include her own personal bank account which she doesn't dip into much. Are we meant to feel sorry for her that she has only 21 million left ????????

Why is she asking for more money if she still has 21 Million pounds left..i believe the country should move on to a true democratic country. probably she should just let go of her monarchy and give the full authority to the government, mainly the parliament.

much as i don't really know how much (in truth, even with the civil list) the palace spends money i do feel that this request for more money is very much calculated both in amount and doing the act of asking itself. as we know, nobody worships royalty anymore and a crucial (even little) mistake may cost them everything.

those that are well off have no idea how the normal people have to live or the value of a buck,they just don't get it that there are many nice toys that we would like to have to play with, but there are other things that are more important like food,housing and healthcare that we unlike them must work very hard to afford to have.if they had to get off their stuck up butts and work for it like we must then they might understand what it's like.
