I want to add something to my profile about not adding people with very low numbers unless I've seen them respond to some of my discussions, but can't figure out how.

Yes, you can. Go to your profile and click edit profile. Then, clicking on edit html or add html, something like that. Put your link there and publish. Then save your profile by clicking view profile. Make sure prior to that, you have already clicked save changes.
