If you own a Kirby Vacuum do you like it or not? Do you like the way they do business? My experience with them has been horrible and if I were you don't ever get involved with this company. I received a post card that they would come to my house for a demonstration and clean two rugs for free no obligation to buy. So I decided ok I could get two rugs clean and don't need to buy anything if I don't wish too. Well this person came to my house and at the time my ex was living with me mainly because he is sick with emphysema. Well for 3 hours this man kept going on and on about this vacuum he was so persistent that my ex said I will pay for it each month. Well I was not happy that he caved in but he was going to pay for it what was I going to say. This vacuum is about 2200.00 dollars CRAZY! Well he then said he would do us a favor and bring the cost down to 1600.00 still CRAZY! Well needless to say my ex paid each month instead of 87.00 he paid $200.00 first months bill and $100.00 for another 6 months. Then he got extremely sick and had to go back to his home town. I continued to pay the bill another 6 months than lost my job. Now we paid all together $1400.00 for a vacuum I did not want or like. I sent them a letter explaining what has happened with my ex and my job. No response of any kind. One day I get a letter from a collection agency and they are now asking for $634.08 which I will now have to put on a credit card. I am sick over this mainly because I would never had caved in to buy something I didn't like and I believe this is not good customer service at all. I just want to warn anyone out there don't get involved with this company I don't want what happen to me to happen to anyone else out there. Plus just to let you know the guy who came to the house made it look so easy to operate ITS NOT!

oh my god.. my mother had a piece of crap kirby in the 70's,with every little attachment you could imagine.not sure exactly how much it cost, but it was a couple thousand in that time was a princely sum. it never worked right.ever. she'd vaccuum for less than 5 minutes, then we'd smell that belt stink, and *ping* snapped another.she had it worked on,still wasn't right. i know i'll never buy one. and the funny thing is this 1940's electrolux she put in the closet to buy it worked better, and STILL works.

Oh thanks someone who agrees with me. I'm sure the electrolux would work better. I even asked them if I could just get my old vacuum back because when you buy their they take your old one. I have not received a response from them. As far as I'm concerned they are big time crooks. Thanks for your response.
