MAC or PC |
|
Hello there, curious to see what members have to say on the matter.
I work on a MAC mostly, The industry i work in is full of MAC environment, I must say I grow up using PC's and I always had virus issues, but for the last 5 years I must say I would not trade in my Apple for anything.
Be interesting to see what others think:)

In high school I was all about being on a PC saying that MACs where awful and they weren't compatible with a lot of windows software etc. and that I didn't want to learn how to use it because it just looked weird and then I got to college, became a Communication major and was required to get my first MAC.
And it took a little while to get use to it but now 2 years later I've never had to worry about a virus, never had to worry about software issues, I have better graphics, and its actually a lot more user friendly than most people think.
I have people on PCs that are jealous because my computer comes with a remote.
I think with most people its just the fact of changing that scares them so they are so quick to make judgements on MACs but most people that I know that have gotten a MAC are the same way as me - they now refuse to switch.
I still have a desktop at home thats a PC but once I graduate I plan on replacing it with a MAC because its so space saving. There isn't any huge box to carry around:D
Oh - and what I love the most is I don't need a CD to use a printer or scanner. All my friends have issues with losing them and so it takes forever to be able to use a printer and they hate that I just have to plug in the USB and I'm good to go.

I think people these days tend to go for PC more because of the Price factor also, you can get a Notebook for less than $900 these days, as for a Mac you do have to pay a bit more.

Think about all the maintenance that goes into a PC and there really isn't any regular maintenance that has to be done on a MAC. The only maintenance I've ever done was because I split something on it - completely not my fault.
My grandparents just bought one because it was cheaper and its so much slower than the MAC and they've had it in the shop twice already within 2 years. I think my old desktop would of cost them over $100 to repair cause it got a virus but thankfully I have computer majors as friends so they fixed it for free.

4. punkincat (161) | 7 months ago | I started using Mac and still do today. Ever time I think about switching I see the new Mac and can't. In fact more than one salesperson told me to stay with a Mac that I would be more happy. It's a running joke in my family.

5. mkrishna22 (413) | 7 months ago | well, nothing beats the mac my friend. until the last 1 year i worked very less on the mac. infact it was only in the office that i worked on the mac.
but, lst year when i visted the US, i went to buy a laptop in the nearby mall and accidentally ran into the apple store. i fell in love instantly with the macbook and bought one.
And, life has been great since the. no issues with the virus and have hardly had any computer issues. it is absolutely awesome. the only glitch is some of the sites that i access do not support mac.but it is ok.
