Ok, Need help uploading a Animated Avatar !!!!

Well,Its been 2 months+ that I have been here on mylot and hence i thought of changing my earlier avatar to something new. i am trying to fetch some animated avatars online and i did find some good one, but then when i upload it here on mylot, the profile plays the animation well, but then it does not show up in responses and discussions........where am i going wrong???? The feature is definitely available here, as I have seen a lot of mylotters using a animated avatar and it works fine for them.......then why is it not working for me......... Some tutorials would be of great help........ Thanks a lot
