What is the best time to start DISCUSSION in myLot?

Morning! If your topic is interesting there is no 'best time'. Lotters are here 24/7 and will hunt down the topics which are interesting. I am in Italy and I just post when I have an idea that I feel is worth posting then friends have their notifiers on and will respond when they get back on line if they feel it is worth it and it will be in any of the various tabs above the other dicussions too for others to see. If the topic is worthwhile you will be receiving responses for days, weeks and months afterwards regardless of what time you post. Good luck and happy Lotting!

I am guilty of not looking at the times since started on discussions. I once responded to one that was four months old. lol I think anytime is fine. Do you know what the policy is about posting to discussions that old? Or after the discussion has been closed?

Hi, and very interesting discussion as I noticed that at certain times of the day myLot is busier. I live in the UK and have tried posting at different times of the day and I have no conclusive evidence to say that posting at one time is better than another, the actual subject of the discussion is more important. But there are some interests on myLot which do have very busy periods where lots of people are starting new discussions such as "make extra money" and it is very easy to start a new discussion and see it disappear down the list very quickly. So it may be worth experimenting when posting under this interest so your post stays on the first page longer.

hmm I think mylot is always active since all the mylotters are from different places in the world, I live in USA, I usually start it during the day and I get responses during the night. I just do my best to post, I guess mylotters can see it when they log in so I never pay attention on what time is the best to post discussions. Your English is perfectly fine, don't worry about that, I hope you find it fun on mylot! :-)

i am now in india and i start discussion at any time i want. if i get mood to ask any question,i don;t see timings. in my free time in mornings or evenings ,i will ask at any time. as u told ,as most of the people are from US ,they will be free from evening i think,so most US people will answer in evenings i think,so its better for u to see their evening timings for starting a discussion. but other than US ,there are many other country people, so mostly u can a question at any time u want. if u;r discussion is interesting, u can get more posts within one day. so try u;r luck here. ask interesting questions.

I live in India and the time zone is 12:00 ahead of the US. I generally start discussion in the morning around 10:00am (IST) - so i think it is night in the US. But i do get a lot of responses from Filipino friends and from many other countries. So as far as your discussion is interesting i think time is not a factor :)

Nah, don't worry about that English stuff. I think you're doing great and you'll be improving from time to time, just be active here in mylot. I think the best time to post your discussion is when you have the best ideas in the world and simply you could not wait to post it for a discussion. Many Asians participate in the discussion too so, we could not determine when the people are at the peak of their activity. I think, if you are patient enough and very observant, you can study on the categories... which I'm too lazy to do that. I just respond to some top posts that interests me, some of my friend's post and that's it. I also take time to respond to discussions with no responses (depending on the interest and the quality of the post). Many people in the US also does mylot at night and during a the day so how may we know the peak? Use your ESP on the system. Heheh! Have a great time my friend and hope to see you around again.

Hi there . I am from the Philippines And i do discussions whenever i feel doing them. For me, its not the time but the interest your discussion has that makes it interesting to your respondents. I guess time frames are not a strong factor here.

Hi! I am from the Philippines. I have tried posting in the morning here. Yes, I do get by. I would also try in the evening. I noticed that I can give more meaningful responses when I post in the evening. I have more thoughts going inside my mind at night than in the morning.

The best time to write topics is when you're watching news, relaxed and about to go to sleep. I am currently in California and it's 11.47pm here but I'll be going back to the Philippines soon.
