What's on your voicemail?

When someone reaches your voice-mail, do they hear a message from you? Something telling them to leave you a message that you've recorded... Or do you just have the standard, generic voice-mail lady?
My message is something like "Hey, this is Dawn, leave me a message." But I know a lot of people who just have their name in the preprogrammed "_______ is not available" message. And some don't even have that.
I don't like when people don't have anything because I'm never sure if I have the right person if it's the first time I'm calling them. I had to call the receptionist at work yesterday on her cell phone and it didn't have anything that identified it as her phone number. I just said something like "If this is Jen - blah blah blah". Then I called the office and left another message just in case I had her wrong cell phone number.
So, what does your voice-mail tell people?

Hahahaha! I'm pretty sure mine says something like, "You've reached ______. After the beep, leave a message... or don't... I don't really care. Do whatever you feel like doing because, if you're like me, you hate leaving messages, too."
It has gotten quite a few laughs from my callers, believe me! I suppose I should change it to something a little more appropriate, especially since I'm awaiting notification about my disability case and I'm working with a senator and a congressman! LOL
Actually, now that I think about it, I almost always get messages left! I guess they think my recording is just too funny to NOT leave a message. Maybe I should keep it, after all.

Well, at least they know they got the right person! When they have just the generic voice-mail lady I always say who I'm calling for and let them know I'm not sure if I've got the right number.
Keep your message if it suits you!!

My voice mail tells people that I'm lazy and I don't really wanna deal with it. It also tells them that I don't like leaving voicemails and talking to machines and if you don't like it too, then you're welcome to hang up and call at a later time. It goes something like this: (in the machine voice) "you have reached *insert number here* -bleep-*
YEAP! The generic one.
Good thing you don't have my number, you'll probably hate me! =P

Nah, just the first time I called I'd be unsure if I had you or not... After a while I realize what the person's voice-mail says and know them that way. It's just that first time I don't know who I'm talking to :)
