Im a type of person who has so many fears in life. In a way i let my child develop his on mind and set his own priorities.. But now Im asking my self if I do the right thing. I just want to grow him as wise as he can be. I wanted to be hin as an independent person who can stand whenever Im not around as well when im gone.

everyone must make their own choice for tehir own future, then they will be no regret becuase they make the choice. if soem other make the choice for them, they will always be soemthing missing in their live, because they don't know what would be the result if they follow their own heart.

It all depends on what you mean by allowing the child to set his own mind and own priorities. As parents it is our responsibility to guide our children, to provide them with rules and regulations to help them to make it in this life. To help them to make the right decisions. Children do not have the knowledge or experience to always do the right thing, they are after all children and they need us there to help them along the way. Any child would love for it to appear that they have no rules or regulations, something to follow, however they will do much better and go furhter in life if we provide them with rules and something to follow, something ot help them along the way. A child's brain is not prepared to make some decisions, they are not mature enough to be in some situations and without our direction they are lible to get into trouble

I don't have children of my own so i am not a parent but seeing as I was a child once I feel I can answer this, I look back at my school days and i can honestly say apart from reading and writing I learnt nothing at school..but I look at some of the people I know that went further in school than I did and I compare our lives and I say I am better off all because my parents taught me to be independent, to look after myself, they taught me what I call common sense, common sense will get you through life, I personqally think you are doing the right thing....to stand tall and proud on your own two feet and have the knowledge to cope is invaluable...
