Good day, busky5! Congratulations, you had reached your 100th post and you got a star! The number on your star (8) was good. Well, I started with a brown star with number 3 in it after reaching my 100th post. I tried to give quality posts and I see it go up. The star represents the rating of the user or also called reputation. When you point the cursor on the star, 'mylot reputation of x/100' will appear. Users rate the post of others using the positive (+) and negative (-) buttons found on each response, discussion, or comment, together with the report (!) button. You can see the three buttons on the posts of others but not on your own post. The goal of DRS (discussion rating system) is to keep the quality of discussions as high as possible. To reach or to maintain a higher rating, keep on giving quality posts, whether it is a response, discussion, or a comment. You may avoid posting on discussions involving politics and religion as there is a risk of decreasing reputation when you receive negative ratings. Since all of us here have different opinions and beliefs, others may not agree with you so you might get a negative rating. Ratings can also affect the earnings here so you must keep high ratings and you can earn more with it. For more information about stars, reputation, and earnings, you can read on the FAQ's section found on the bottom of the page to learn more. Good luck, happy mylotting!

The star appears when you reach 100.
It is the result of other users rating your activity here with + or - in the boxes beside your posts. The DRS (Discussion Rating System) is not always a very realistic way of rating users and it can be abused. Please read what we are told about it and how it should be used and note that it also affects our earnings too.

I am some kind of new here, and I have not posted 100 posts yet, so I do not have a star now. From your question, I know there is something called star and I think it is quite interesting, and I hope I could get to 100 posts as soon as possible and see my stars.
