I have seen the side bars here and there. Yahoo Personals have been advertising everywhere. Me personally, I do not believe in this way of meeting people. It has always been easy for me to meet people. But, I do know that in the rush of today's society it is a needed part of some peoples lives. My girlfriend is a single person with a high power corporation job. She is always around men that are twice her age. So she has no time to meet men her age. So she has used personal dating services like eHarmony. So far she is finding out it is not going the way they show on TV. So, would you use something like the Yahoo Personals?

Hi cookie,
i don't belive in meeting someone on online for that reason, your friend can meet people anywhere in real life and she will, you got to be so very lucky to meet someone who is honest and caring on online but not very often, her best bet is to not bother and she will meet someone when the time is right.

You know I try to tell her that very thing. She is a strong woman. She says the guys she meets on her own are afraid of a strong powerful woman. I tell her she's nuts!

Hi cookie! Even if I was looking to meet someone I would
never go to any kind of Personals of any other dating sites!
I never have and I never would! I don't trust them! There
are just too many crazys out there! You can meet enough crazys
on your own in real life! I wouldn't get involved with
someone that I met online! People can say whatever they want
and you have no idea if they are making it up or not! I have
heard plenty of stories about people who met dates online
and it didn't turn out too well! It is way too dangerous!

See I am with you. But my girlfriend says that the guys she talks to on eHarmony are suppose to go through some kind of screening. But she is having a bit of trouble with that. She is thinking of going to a personal matchmaker.

No, I wouldn't use any dating service on the Net. If I want to meet somebody, it will happen, and they'll be the right one, I'm sure. As it happens, I don't have any real desire to meet anybody at the moment. I've found the ideal man, and even if I hadn't, I wouldn't look to a dating service for one.

I do and have and would. Haven't done me just good. I don't go places where I meet any men. It is fun and gives me attention that I enjoy. Everyone is different. Some are social and some aren't. Online can be fun.

Hi Cookie. Many things do not seem to go the way they do on TV. I have heard of several people who've had success meeting someone special and developing a lasting relationship from such sites, but I do not need them for myself. I don't feel the need to "pay" to get a date lol.
