Needles, doctors, medical things

I am afraid of going to the doctor. I am especially afraid of shots or getting blood drawn (but not needles in general- I have 11 piercings haha). I am also afraid, hypothetically, of any medical procedures, although I have never had any. But I am not afraid of ordinary dentist appointments (though my root canal was scary). Of course lots of this doesn't make sense... but how bout you? Is anyone else afraid of going to the doctor or needles? What are your experiences?
