is there such thing as hairLESS shih tzu?  

I have never heard of a hairless shih tzu. I have one and the person who gave my dog to me use to sale shih tzus. I just know of minature shih tzu and regular size shih tzu's, never hairless. They must not be too cute. One day my dog was getting groomed by one of those portable van groomers and he shaved all his hair off and he looked horrible and I was sick. Luck thing his hair grew back within two weeks.

Never heard of that before. Can you post a picture of what you call a hairless shih tzu? So we can identify if its really a shih tzu.

Yeah, I've never heard of a hairless either, and I've been doing a lot of research on them lately. I'd say it must be either crossbred with something that didn't change the looks too much, or it could have a genetic abnormality that causes it to be hairless. I'd be willing to guess that they shaved him because of skin problems and don't want you to know about it. How long have you had him? Have you noticed any growth? Of course, it obviously doesn't matter- you can tell from the pic that you are completely in love with this pup, and nothing can change that!
