Did anyone feel thats a better way to go and how was the experience with the doubled minutes and the pink phone? What are the pros and cons?

Hey there, sista friend! Haven't been here in ages! Thought I would pop in and put my two cents in on your discussion. We never used cell phones until about 2 years ago. We got our first tracphone for our 12 year old (at the time) son. For kids, it is great because they know they could run out of minutes if they talk too much and we told him we would only add minutes every 3 months. He had to learn to make good use of it. It was mainly only for checking in with us when he was involved in after school activities. Last Christmas, he gave me his old phone and we purchased a newer flip phone type track phone. So now we have two. I only use mine occasionally and we try not to give our numbers out to friends unless there is a certain situation where it would be necessary. My husband does not want a cell phone as he works so many hours already. He does not want to be that readily available to his office. Overall, we really like the tracphones. I really would not like to pay the phone bills that others do. I can't imagine racking up such bills! Some families have 3 and 4 phones! No thanks!

I was just guessing at the approximate cost. I use my tracfone for work, and I tell my evening staff that if I am at home, they will have to call my land line. I do not do text and I do not do voice mail. This phone is for my convenience for making appointments for my clients and communicating with the office etc.

Yes, I definitly prefer the trac fone. I am not sure what you mean about the pink phone. I have had my trac fone for a long time. I bought a doubler card and especially when combined with bonus codes I find it to be the best choice for me, and there are no surprises. It costs me much less than $30 per month.

With the tracphone, if you don't use it very much, you can go as cheap as $20 every 3 months, which is awesome!

As I am a senior I was lucky enough to get the free TracFone and free minutes added every month. I only use my cell phone occasionally or for emergencies so these free minutes are more than enough to meet my cell phone needs.
