Have you ever tried going to the movies alone? Any interesting stories? |

| I was bored one Sunday afternoon and for some reason none of my friends were available to go out with me but I really felt like I was going to die of boredom if I stayed at home any longer so I decided to set out on my on. It being a Sunday, the mall was so crowded with families looking to get some "quality" time together so it was helping me get entertained. I also thought of watching a movie that none of my friends would admit to liking (though I really wanted to see it but I was afraid of all the teasing I'll get if they found out - so I never asked them to come see it with me). Since I was alone I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to watch this unnamed movie (lol, I won't tell) without the risk of eternal jeering (unless of course someone sees me coming out of the cinema, in which case I'll just pretend I have an assigment to do a review on it or something). So I was there halfway into the movie, I was sitting in a semi-empty theater (like I said, no one wants to admit to watching it, I'll bet they'll get it from a torrent site or something) when a man just sat down next to me. i found it rather annoying since it was a relatively empty place and he could pick any seat in the theater. I was about to tell him off when he got really uncomfortably close... Aargghh... I go silent when that happens. I think i go into a state of shock and instead of shouting I was just shoving my elbow up his side but he still wouldn't go away. It was getting rather scary so I just went, stood up, out the door and back home. I'd rather be bored than harassed. How about you guys? Anything happened when you attempted to watch a movie alone? | | | | | |

| | Hi there! Well, I have tried watching a movie in a movie house alone a lot of times before and thankfully I haven't experienced being harassed while doing so. I have a long vacant period when I was in my second and third year of college so I kill time by watching a movie in a mall near our college. I think the most unusual thing that I have experienced so far was falling asleep while watching Pearl Harbor for the second time and oversleeping at that that I didn't make it to my other classes. | | | | | | |

| | Yes I watched a movie alone but I didn't think that I was going to be alone. Well I went with my mother to watch Jaane tu ya jaane na. It is a Hindi movie. The movie started and there came a phonecall to my mum that my grand father (maternal) is very ill and she has to come immediately to see him. She got really worried and she had to leave. She told me she won't take me along and there was no one at home so I had to stay in the theatre because when the movie would be over my dad will come home by then. She left me alone in the theatre and initially it was really scray to sit alone because there were a lot of guys in the theatre all of them the screaming and shouting lot. But then I found myself a seat near another mother and daughter who had come to watch the movie where I felt comfortable but I was horribly missing my mum and was worried about my grand father. After the movie got over my dad came to pick me up and i called mum and came to know that my grand father is absolutely fine and my mum will be home the next day! :D So this was my story! | | | | | | |
