Is MYLOT dominated by women ???

I find that the women population of mylot is more, atleast they are more active in participation. I mean I have more women friends here, I get to see more discussions started by them and even more responses posted by them.
And that is the reason why I think mylot is such a great place to be in. The discussions carry meanings and the response posts are interesting. Women are naturally good communicators, what say?

i think women dominate social sites of all kinds more it seems.. i mean on myspace some of my guy friends dont have anything on their page yet my female friends will decorate it extravagantly.. not to mention im not one to have many female friends yet my friends list is mostly women. again i think its because the communication and i think they like to keep in touch more where as guys seem to just go to game sites more and not socialize as much.. just an personal observation

It is an apt observation. men seem to be more reluctant to socialize and they seem to come up with some real stupid discussions; (me not an exception,) LOL. Seriously, I just feel awesome by the way women handle the social sites, they are really thoughtful, encouraging, consoloing and not to mention very interesting.

It is my experience that there are more women on Mylot and one reason is that many of these women are at home for many different reasons - not just at-home-Moms. sometimes they are disabled and some are in physical pain and being on Mylot will help them to concentrate on something oputside of their pain for a while. Many people are also lonely and hurting and they love to spend a few hours here each day communicating with other people.
Also women need women as they need to vent. when they get what is worrying them down on paper then they feel better. I think that Mylot has helped save many a marriage
I find that women are on line more in the winter when they live in a cold country. I am just privileged to be here and have made some good friends (like you) who are not ageist.Blessings

I very glad and previlaged that I came across this site and participate in some real discussions which concerns some real issues of our lives. Some people are funny, some are silly, some very thoughtful, some are just smart witted "intellects". I wasn't aware that somebody's marriage was saved, may God be with them.
Now i had to ask you something, what is it with logging in, more in the winter? Is it because you have to stay indoors for longer hours, or something else? Just wanted to know.
I am really very happy to be friends with you, and I mean every single word of it.

Yes, I think you are right bodhisatya. I think women population will be more in any discussion forum. May be because they stay at home more hours than men. So they can work their pcs for more time than men. Women love participating in discussion, I think. that is why mylot discussions are dominated by women.I wish them to continue dominating mylot.

Yup, maybe I agree with you dear friend, but I have noticed atleast here in mylot that women really start some very thoughtful and intriguing discussions. They dominate mylot and they dominate rightfully.

i think there are as much males as there are females here in myLot. i get responses from both genders.
only they have different preferences and interests. like the females respond to family matters more than males, love, emotions, even to the smallest issues like flowers and pets. males prefer to respond on issues like sports and politics and life itself. they just have different preferences and interests.

Maybe you are right, but I don't find any "men" discussions or atleast they aren't popular I guess. Thank you dear friend for the response, I was about to pm you as I haven't seen any new discussions form you? Is everything ok there? Just wanted to know.
