do you protect you hair from heat?

i like to use an umbrella or hat to protect my hair.My country is very hot.I will have in my bags regular when i go out from my house.In your country is hot too?

Yes I use a heat defense spray if I style my hair using hot rollers, tongs or straightening irons. If you don't you risk getting lots of split ends. I have just bought some styling spray that is suppose to help protect my hair from UV damage as well. But yes, my hair is important to me and I try to look after it. I don't like to wear hats. There was actually an article on some common hair sins that people commonly commit a couple of weeks ago. Apart from not protecting your hair from heat damage, like you mentioned here, apparantly over washing and over brushing your hair can also be bad. It suggested that you should not wash your hair any more than once every two days, and use conditioner only at the ends for the most healthy looking hair. If you hair does get greasy quickly, you should use a dry shampoo every other day rather than wash your hair every day.

I have never used a heat protectant spray or any styling products on my hair. I regret not using the spray to protect my hair though, the ends are split when I flatiron my hair and it breaks my heart to look at them. As for blowdrying, I rarely do.. I thik the damage from the flat iron is all my hair can take.
