It sounds as if maybe someone has disappointed you. We are all human and fall short. I choose to love people and not worry about what they return, then I am not disappointed when they don't live up to my expectations. There is only one that has perfect love and He is not human. I think that with friends love means to try to think the best of friends. With a mate the same thing but there are many times when that mate says or does something that cuts very deep.
