Having been through college myself, I know what it is like. One line that caught me was "fast as a gust of wind" - the feeling of understated. At the end of a semester, whether a student or faculty, it more like comes & goes, rocking the situation like a wild hurricane. For the student, they need to prepare for final exams, exams that all hit in such a short time period & is usually the most important part of the courses in the semester. If taking the final exams seem difficult, think again. For the teaching faculty, first, is preparing the final exam, & making sure the students in the class CAN actually get through it. Making the final exams is a lot tougher than taking it. during the middle of a semester, I know one professor (his first semester teaching) who took a textbook problem & changed a number, & made that an exam question. After he realized that one change pretty much changed made the entire situation go haywire, & the solution was a very long one, he ended up having to give credit for attempts. At least this particular problem did not happen on a final exam. Ten after that, it turns into many exams to grade in a short period of time to make sure that they get the grades in on time so that - especially for the students in their last semester, can graduate.
