I have been on Weight Watchers since May 16th and also have been doing fitness boot camp. I have been extremely successful with both as I have lost 18 lbs and 22 inches. Although I have changed my eating habits significantly, I still have these moments of almost weakness. For example: Sometimes when I'm at the supermarket and I see something sweat and packed with fat and calories, like Entenmann's doughnuts, I picture myself binging on the entire box. After I see this I immediately put it down and walk away shaking my head. I feel nuts at times and wonder if this is normal. Granted I never actually binge but it's like this short film in my head of me just sitting down eating the entire box. Is this weird or normal or maybe some sort of coping mechanism that I've developed to keep myself from eating unhealthy?? I'd love to hear what you all have to say on this. Thanks.

3. khayshenz (1091) | 6 months ago | That's great to hear that you've lost 18 lbs! Great JOB!! It's not easy to lose weight - and you're doing a great job losing all that. However, doesn't weight watchers have some "wiggle room." For example - you can have cookies as long as they're oatmeal cookies, or something like that. Or the points in an oatmeal cookie is lower than the points to a chocolate chip cookie. Anyways, isn't that designed to keep you from binging?
I personally don't like dieting - I can't stick to it very well. I'd rather run it off, which I do. And I also "watch what I eat" - which means just keeping track of calories. Both what goes in and what I burn.
I guess if it keeps you from eating unhealthy foods - then it's definitely a coping mechanism. My coping mechanism is - "if i eat that, I'm gonna have to run another mile or blah blah miles (1mile for every 100 calories)." And I definitely don't have time to run anymore than 3 miles lately ( I gotta invest some time online to make extra cash). So that keeps me from eating unhealthy.=D

| 5. moon1688 (93) | 6 months ago | Good you eat because you have nothing to keep your self busy. I think you should try to gain at least one interest activity. Join friends and try to enjoy the time of being busy and forget the importance of eating too much. more and more you will eat healthily.

8. tattylashes (4292) | 6 months ago | congratulations on your weight loss, 18 pounds is alot to lose so well done, also welcome to mylot...i do get pangs every now and then if i see a nice strawberry tart sitting on the shelf, but i think of the weight i have lost and the time it's taken me to lose it and all the hard work i put into losing that weight, so having that moment of weakness is a aste of time and effort, i generally just walk past and get myself a nice low fat strawberry yogurt to suppliment the sweets pang, keep going, it's mind over matter and it soon passes, so don't cave into these little cravings because it's so easy to gain that weight back....well done to you, i am in the middle of dieting right now but i have not lost as much as you, i do get them pangs but like i said, i supplement it with something else.

9. mrakobesie (754) | 6 months ago | if you can find foods you love in a healthy and even raw veriation, it will not make yo gain weight. for example i make this fruit cake that tastes great and will not add extra lbs. I take whole grain wheat, oat, buckwheat and other healthy flowers mix it with water brown sugar and egg replacer and put it on a loaf bread form (on the bottom and walls leaving middle untouched) i bake it af 250 F till it'd done (usually takes about an hour) then i take berries and mix them with raw honey and put this mixture inside the dough. once the juice saturates the dough, it's simply great... I love it so much i can't weight to get more berries and make another cake...
