Maybe this for you this sounds quite weird, but this is true. When I was only one year old, I was very unhealthy. Then my grandmother said if I have a dad who is a stone, that stone will bring me good luck and I will become healthy and will become some person in the future. Then she took me to the mountain and find a huge stone to recognize it as my dad. After that, every year, I will come back to my hometown and visit that huge stone, and pretend to speak to it. Though I do not believe it could really bring me good luck, I just think this is interesting.

I strongly not believe that....you make your own destiny with guidance of your known Creator...I don't know about your belief since we both not the same religious belief....

In every country and region there are beliefs that's hardly to believe in.And it is a mindsetting to our old folks that we can't contradict with them, they were raised with such belief. Anyway, thanks for sharing us one of your reagion's old folks belief.=)

So even though your father is not actually the stone itself, the stone recognizes your father and helps you remember him. That is quite interesting. You should believe in good luck. It's a great thing to happen. If something awesome happens to you, is it because it had to happen anyway, or because of a good luck miracle? Think about it.

Hi colydf, I believe when we are kids our elders just try to keep our anxiousness and fear away whenever we are sick by some ancient stories and also that does help us kids better to regain our health because we trust in those myths. Also there are traditions observed by our elders which may have come true earlier on and thats the reason why they do believe in them. Nothing against you but sure all these myths are definitely very interesting and sometimes they are in an indirect way bound to science also. Maybe not the example above but there are a lot which are clearly explained by science. Cheers and have a nice day.
