So, before you buy vitamins make sure you know which you need. If you're female, you should take a multi-vitamin that is high in Iron and in Vit D/A. Iron is needed for blood production as well as other functions in the blood (carrying Oxygen etc.) Vit D is important because it's shown to prevent cancer, while it's also needed for the production of many lipids etc. Vit A is needed to help absorb Iron. High Iron is needed only for women who are pre-menopause and woman who are pregnant. Iron rejuvenates the high volume of blood lost during a woman's period and during labor. Only woman that fit those two categories need the mentioned high amounts.
If this is the first time you'll be taking vitamins make sure you speak to your doctor before starting any regime. Also, be aware that you could be wasting vitamins if not ingested correctly. Meaning, if you take one whole pill once a day, half of the vitamins will be wasted. You should break the pill in half and take half in the morning and the other half in the evening to fully absorb what's needed. Omega fatty acids are important also. But please speak to your doctor and pharmacist before starting anymore because they may interact with existing medication, etc. or too much vitamins can be harmful too your body
