Do most Christians believe in Santa Claus?

Well, I should say they actually most does not, but for the sake of celebrating the holiday season and for the kids they seem to believe in it. There is a greater awareness among christian churches now about Santa Claus as part of a pagan belief.

My wife would tell the children that he was only pretend but my mother and I always liked to give them presents from Santa Claus. My wife wanted them to know that we were the ones who gave them those presents. Also liked to pretend there was an Easter Bunny but again my wife let them know that I was the Easter Bunny. I think it was easier for them when they got old enough to know that Santa was really only pretend than it was for many other children. I remember one girl who got very hysterical when she was told their was no Santa.
