Hi Meena, we meet again. I absolutely agree with you, I have 7 siblings altogether and the sequence of their birth do affect their personality a lot!!! I am from Chinese family where the first born is a boy, he will be treated like "Lord" with all the attention, pampered and be served! But he do learn one thing in the process when the 2nd child come along, the attention was taken away - a little perhaps! They learned to share and be responsible over their younger siblings, they have to set good example for the younger sibling too. So now, he is a good eldest brother, responsible but still have to be served by the wwife. He don't cook, he expect everything is ready for him. But my eldest sister (2nd in the family) is very responsible and do all the houseworks. Because she is a girl, not pampered, she is the eldest girl - therefore very responsible and caring till to date. Needless to say the no. 3, 4, 5 , 6 & 7 they always think that they are not loved, they have a different personality...they don't care much about their parents, they would said...Oh, let the eldest take care, he should take charged and so on. They will strife to build a career of their own and their direct family (wife and children) matter the most. They will visit and go, that's about all. They are streetwise but no leadership and less responsible. The youngest child will be different, they are showered with love by everyone in the family being the youngest to be around in the house - this is the time their parents is older and objective in life has changed. Since he/she is showered with love, he/she will show love too..become very loving but a bit pampered. Less endurance and less leadership quality.

You must be a middle child! :) At least you sound like that! I do think that birth order affects our personalities. I don't think you can box it in and say every time it is the same though!
