I think for me the two most things would be tahini and salt. There is also a brand name seasoning called Mrs. Dash which I use a lot. It is a product with a combination of herbs and spices. It seems to fix the taste of most things that need fixing.
I try to alway keep those three things around the house.

I have never heard of tahini. What is it? Yes I like salt too but I have to try something first before I put some salt on it,like french fries, sometimes they need salt sometimes they don't. I have heard of Mrs. Dash. I heard it is pretty good. Maybe I'll try it one day.

Tahini is actually kind of like peanut butter, but instead of peanuts it is made of sesame seeds. It is 100% sesame seeds ground into a butter like consistency. It is used a lot in middle eastern cuisines, but I use it for lots of things.
If you ever eat hummus it is one of the ingredients in hummus.
I like to make hummus at home with it and I add it to pasta, I use it to make dressing and mix it with rice. It can give things a thick and creamy texture.
Some people do spread it plain on toast and such, but if you have never tried tahini before I would not suggest that being your first experience with it.
It is quite versatile once you figure out how to use it.
My mom always used Mrs. Dash when I was younger and now I use it. I like the original flavor. It is very versatile and perfect if you are not too good with spices. Sometimes if I don't have much in the house a little bit of salt, Mrs. Dash and tahini on rice or pasta is perfect.
I am the same. I usually try something first and add salt only if I feel it needs it.

We use salsa on many things, and some salt. It goes on meat, vegs, and pasta.
For fruit and other sweets we add nothing.

I sprinkle the juice from a lime on a lot of things. White or brown rice is great served with lime and green onions. Fresh, home made salsa tastes pretty good when mixed with lime juice. For me fake meat, cause I am a vegetarian, tastes better with a lime infused marinade. Limes makes the world go round in a cirtus filled motion.
