Hi All,
I really do have a serious query about sleeping with wet hair. my friends and some doctor says that if you sleep with wet hair you may get pneumonia or you will become blind, also if you sleep on cotton pillow could lead to hair fragility. Is it that really dangerous to sleep with wet hair?

You would better be sure that it won't cause pneumonia. But certainly hairs became more fragile when they are wet..So repeated touch with your pillow may cause its breakage. Hairs become more prone to breakage if you sleep with wet hairs..
Apart from it,I very rarely will sleep with wet hair. This was something, my mother would never allow. Because she thinks we would catch a cold. Personally, I don't like going to sleep with wet hair. I'm just not comfortable. And, I think the worst sensation in the world is to wake up and find yourself lying on a soggy pillow.

That sounds rather strange, because I've never heard of it and I've often went to bed with wet hair. Now if you already have a cold and go to bed with wet hair maybe you'll get pneumonia, but I've never had it happen to me. Although I rarely tend to get sick to any severity save for once maybe every few years... unless I'm at a college. I worked at one once during winter and caught something from being a temp to help out the housekeepers... then going to community college and not having a warm enough jacket I suppose.... unless that was allergies. I've even had a window open in winter and gone to bed with wet hair and haven't gotten sick from that. It might depend though on each individuals immune system though...

I have fallen asleep with my hair wet and the only thing that i had a problem with is that it sticks up all over the place when i get up. and i have to wet it again in the morning to get it to lay flat. as for it being dangerous, i have never heard of that before.
