Have you ever eaten a Tortoise? Wanna do?

I have eaten a lot of tortoise when I was a kid. It is because I had a problem with breating and it seems tortoise is good to cure it. I feel tortoise is very tasty. There are white and black tortoises in my place. We catch it from the lake infront of my house using a fishing rope. My mom is the only person in my family who hates tortoise dishes. She can't take it, she voimits.
Have you ever had tortoise?

What are the types of tortoises in your place?
How do you catch them?

I wanted to taste that. I haven't taste that kind of food actually because there were no available here but if there would be a restaurant that caters that kind of food then I will actually buy it so that I can taste that delicious tortoise.

Thank you so much for taking this discussion out of the no responses pile. I feel trotoise is tasty. I also had meat of bat, it is more similar like meat of birds. I am sorry that these are not available in your place. Hope you will get a chance to taste tortoise soon. You can check if there are any Asian resturants in your place. Thanks again.

I have eat tortoise before.
But I buy 2 kid tortoise as pet.I am sure I would not eat my pets.^0^
I prefer to eat the turtle.It is more tasty.
I strong recommend you try to eat the tasty,instead of tortoise.
Tortoise is the friend of human,it would eat the skeeter.
So,pleade protect them.

I am sorry my friend. I know you won't eat your pets. It is very good to keep tortoise in your hous as pets. According to Chineese astrology (I think it is Chineese) it will bring long life span to the people living in the house. I think the belief is because tortoises have a good life span. What is the difference between a tortoise and a trtule?
I thought both of them are the same. Are turtles much bigger than tortoises? Thaks for the response.

No i have never eaten a tortoise.I only eat chicken and nothing else.Sea food is a big no no.

Try to eat other meat dishes whenever you find time. Beaf, mutton, rabbit, etc. I will say beaf tastes very good, but again there are personal preferences. Sea food is very good too. It has a lot of ingerediants which are very good for our body. Don't miss it. Thanks for the response.
