use for your kids? Today my daughter was using a site designed for 1st grade readers. She is going to be in the 1st grade this yr. So it is perfect. She was zipping through and having so much fun! **NOT A REF LINK** http://www.starfall.com/ If you have any others I'd love to see one!

I've found quite a few of those free educational helps sites..free printables for school type work... just like they do in school.. coloring pages, mazes, puzzles and just lots of educational pages to print out. I would have them at home and my GD loves playing "school" at home and then on the weeks she is with her dad.. I send her a letter (via snail mail... she loves it!) and I always include a couple of the learning pages that are fun more than work and she gets educated along the way... I love free printables!

Thanks for BR. I still do this for my GD's and they still love it. I now center around the holidays, with related paper activities.

I no longer have small children and they pretty much know how to use the internet. It has become very convenient these days because information can be found at your fingertips. This is a good tip and as for me, I just do a search if I want to locate some information. I'm sure my kids do too.

Well my sister likes pbs kids and a whole bunch of other ones but I feel she isn't learning what she needs to learn since she is going to be in the third grade this year(Lord Help Us)I don't feel she is prepared in any way..so if anyone knows of a site for third graders let me know. Even second grade too. to help her remember her skills from last year.
She also like this one http://pbskids.org/read/ it is fun..
