I want a dog, but my mom refuse to have it now...

Okay, so the deal is that my last dog died a few years ago and it was a really hard time for us after 10 years of working hard to raise her. Currently I am living at home, and both me and my dad (and one of my sisters) want a new german dog. However, my mom refuse to have it because we have a baby at home and my other sister refuse it until she finish school (one year from now) because it takes lots of effort to raise it. I REALLY want a dog, and I keep having dreams of having a new dog because of it... Can you advice me what to say to my mom so I can convince her to agree to having a dog? please reply if you do... thankes.
