After retirement, time is no more an issue, but self motivation is always needed to keep myself happy and fresh. Writing is my interest based on previous work, but writing without target reader is something different. I tried several sites, but seems feedback is not sufficient to boost my morale. And I do not have interest in ladies hobbies like knitting. The only inspiration comes from travelling. I spent about one month every year travelling domestic and overseas. I need more time to really bet settled or used to the retirement days.

I would like to spend more time on the activities I enjoy - reading, writing. Browse and shop for books in used book stores or book sales. Spend more time with my parents (who are in their 80s) and my brother, who is ill. Now that I'm rather active on the internet, I will have more time to do this as well.

It is really important to plan ahead. It is best to know what activities one will make after he or she retires from service. This is the predicament of my mother in law who just retired last December after 36 years in the government service. She has nothing to do because she refuses to do some worthwhile activites. She has hip dislocation and has difficulty of walking. .. . I don't want to experience what she is experiencing now.

I am not retired, but I would love to travel when I do retire! I am also very into photography, so I hope that I will have a lot of time to take pictures when I retire! I also hope to learn some new hobbies!
