Did you like the Harry Potter 6 movie? |
|
I know that there are some limitations in cinematic adaptations of books, but the latest Harry Potter movie was really disappointing. So many important parts of the book were omitted like when Dumbledore fetched Harry from Privet Drive and the duel between the Hogwarts students and the death eaters. The movie was really a disappointment.
How about you guys, what do you think?

1. dafengluobote (232) | 5 months ago | the same feeling as u,i don't even know what the film tells about with misunderstanding 153 min,i think the film is the worser than other 5 films and i am so disappointed at the actors cos i think they acted so badly.anyway,i think i'd better read the book rather than watching the terrible film.

| queen786 (9) | 5 months ago | well, i liked the previous harry potter films. it's only this 6th one that i didn't like because they took out important details like the privet drive thing and the battle between the students and the death eaters. those are very important to the story of HP and the half-blood prince. Even the love story between harry and ginny was not given justice!

2. divkris (763) | 5 months ago | oops, i've not read harry poter book series so i'm not the right person to answer this. But would like to share something - it is very difficult to show each and every bit of a book because a reader can fantasize the author's description as long as they want to.
But when thick volumes of books are packed in 2 or 2 and half hours movie they do omit certain part of th book. The same thing happened with DaVinci Code and people were disappointed:S

| queen786 (9) | 5 months ago | i understand that there are limitations in movie adaptations of books but the screenwriter should at least retain facts/scenes that are relevant to the story. Although my friends who have not read the book but were able to watch the movie, loved the movie and were impressed with the effects.

3. Revan2009 (160) | 5 months ago | I'm always hugely disappointed with the movie versions of Harry Potter. The acting is horrible, the plot is rushed and the effects are worthless. The romance is boring, Ron needs a hair cut, Ginny is ugly, Harry walks with a limp... the battles were ordinary, and the last 20 minutes were the worst, whereas they were the best in the book.
The only scene that looked good was the scene of Slughorn and Tom Riddle, talking about the Horcrux... it was a little short though.
I hope that lady who plays Bellatrix isn't in the next movie, she whispered through all her scenes, except when she was laughing. I imagined Bellatrix as a loud woman highly confident in her abilities.
I think the producer and director need to go, and replaced with people that know how to make a movie.

| queen786 (9) | 5 months ago | Wow, you must really be a Potter fan. Yeah, the movies are really disappointing. If the producer cannot come up with something that is almost as good as the book, they shouldn't make a movie adaptation. I think the sentiment is the same with all other books that have been made into movies - da vinci code, angels and demons, even twilight!

Revan2009 (160) | 5 months ago | Then you watch the Lord of the Rings which was an improvement from the book.

|
| queen786 (9) | 5 months ago | come to think of it, yeah, lord of the rings, the movie, was indeed an improvement of the book! wish other screen adaptations could follow this great example!

5. ragikutty (55) | 5 months ago | I hate 6th movie the most among the whole series. Why do they cut off so much important portions from the book? I'm pointing out the major things I disliked about the book.
1. Why did burn Weasley's house in this part? They shouldn't have done it, because it's where 7 harry potters reach in next episode. What about Bill's and Fleur's marriage and all? That's when Burrow is attacked by death eaters. Harry, Ron and Hermione leave for finding the horcrux after that.
2. What about Sirius's will and harry getting grimauld place & Kreacher? Because both of them have importance in the final book.
3. In the end, even if Dumbledore took word from harry not to move from the cabin below where he stood, it was not Harry's nature to stand watching Dumbledore getting cornered. In book, Dumbledore stunned Harry and kept him under the invisibility cloack so that harry couldn't move (that was more believable). Also none of death eaters or Malfoy saw harry standing there watching everything (which is quite funny)
4. Harry took whole lucky potion for himself in the movie, where he shared it with Hermy, Ron and Ginny in the book, also made them keep eye on harry and they alerted order members when attach begin inside Hogwarts. What about the order members and the fights in the end? They cut off the whole thing out of it.
5. What about Dumbledore's white tomb? His wand was to be placed inside the tomb. All these have great importance in next book.
And many more things I hate about this movie. It was a total disappointment.

| queen786 (9) | 5 months ago | Ditto to everything you pointed out! I wonder how they are going to make the 7th movie when they omitted so many important things in the 6th that are related to events in the 7th?!?!?

| ragikutty (55) | 5 months ago | I was happy when someone told me they are gonna make last book in 2 movies. They can't omit anything out of that because everything is linked in that book. But now that they have they have cut off major portions which links to next book I don't understand how are they gonna make the movie. I hate harry potter movies. Books are the best..

Revan2009 (160) | 5 months ago | They'll probably put what is meant to be for the 6th book in the first part of the Deathly Hallows... so I guess they'll delete parts of the final book to make room.
The directors, screen writers and producers all suck!
