How can I lose weight?

Its very frustrating for me to see myself in the mirror. I almost can't recognize myself because of the accelerated increased of my weight. This is because of my thyroid problem. No matter what I do, there can never be any significant result. And to add to my mysery. People often think I have gotten out of control in my diet that's why im gaining so much weight! They would often look at me, joke that they had a hard time recognizing me and have that sarcastic smile... And in my part, Im getting tired of explaining about my situation. Sometimes I would just allow them to say and think what they want, they are entitled to their own opinion anyway. And then I just walk away. Many times Im successful in convincing myself that I am not affected with the remarks that i heard, but there are times that I can't convince myself either. Any similar experience out there? What has been your responses?

i understand your frustrations but it isn't your fault if your gaining wt...as you have mentioned you have a thyroid condition right? is it hypothyroidism? thyroid is related to our metabolism...so if you have a slower metabolism.., you tend to gain wt.., as for the the other way around with hyperthyroidism.., wherein the person stays thin even with big appetite..try consulting your doctor...maybe there is something you can do about your health condition..=)

it depends on you, you should have determination in loosing your weight,eat less, more exercise to have. if you have self determination to loose your weight then you can be but if not you will gain weight. Food intake should be lessen too so that of not gaining weight always have a weight scale in the house so that you can monitor your weight.

I've been fat for more than half of my entire existence (I'm 22 now), but right now I am thinner. That is because I exercise regularly and I also eat less. And yes, it is very difficult to convince yourself that you are okay with your state right now but I think it becomes more difficult when you will not try to improve yourself. I'm not saying that you need to change drastically but atleast try to chgange your self step by step. That way you will more appreciate the beauty of life and your importance. Happy MyLotting
