Special Occasion  | |  Do you save things for a "special occasions"? Like a special dress, perfume, china dishes, jewelry or what ever it may be.
Special occasions being when my husband took me out for dinner, a movie or for a wedding, a fancy gathering or what ever it may have been.
I used to wear my perfume only on these special occasions until a few years ago. My sister passed away and cleaning her house I saw a few bottles of expensive perfumes on her dresser. I asked her husband why she rarely worn them. He said she was saving them for "special occasions". I realized then and there that every day is a special occasion and I wear my favorite perfume every day. I was also given my sister's favorites off her dresser and wore them everyday until they were gone. I never save anything for "a special occasion" any more.

I used to have outfits for the boys to wear on special occassions but now I think I would rather have them wear them than save them. I don't save anything for a special occassion anymore because as I get older I see those special occassions just not happening...

 jsitko (631) | 6 months ago | Hi Andalond, I guess as years go by those special occasions get fewer and fewer, especially if you have children. My husband and I do not have any kids, just a bunch of nieces and nephews. But we agreed that at least once a month we will have a special occasion with each other. It may be dressing up and going out to dinner or anything we may think is fun. Now everyday is special and there is no reason to save anything for another day.
