Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Today marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 30% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8 (see trends).
Just 25% believe that the economic stimulus package has helped the economy.
The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men. BTW I am not one of the 51% of women

These numbers will increasingly change. The more time goes by and conditions continue to degress. People want real solutuons. The foreclosures and unemployment numbers are in fact increasing, so his approval rating will change. The problem is that his approval rating, either way, won't bring any help to the problems.@grammasnook (1871)

You are absolutely right when you say people want real solutions the simple fact is they want them yesterday and if he doesnt give it to them he is them considered a bad president if he rushes things he is a bad president. Since the begining he has been in a corner with no way of fighting his way out he is damned if he does damned if he dont. As for the mortgages well once again you have people jumping on the band wagon I would really like to know how many homes where lost because loss of job, and how many homes let go into forclosure because people owed more than the house was worth. Unloading the baggage so to speak. How many times did donald trump claim bankrupcy to come back three times better. Everything will adjust. The city I live in reported that foreclosures where down by 37 percent. How many people choosing not to go to work and collecting their unemployment because they cant get the 15 dollars an hour that they were use to before they got laid off. Jobs are out there they are just not the high paying jobs that some people are use to getting. Some parts of the US is struggling more than others I know this I am not ignorant to that fact. I just believe that the numbers are totally off all the way around and some people are taking advantage of the economic state of this country.
For those who are suffering I shall pray

Not surprised at all, if anything I think it's about time this happened. Personally I felt that this last election was like a popularity contest mixed in with a whole lot of let's be forward thinking/politically correct mentality, without thinking things through. Of course these polls won't help things now, and I'm skeptical that these polls will affect any of the decision making in Washington. I'm worried about the health care plans that are going around. The last thing I want to see is the government getting control of the people's health care.
