Have you ever wondered how engineer's were able to manufacture microchips that has hundred million transistors on it and how they are able to fit those hundred million transistors on a small wafer chip. Have you ever wondered how they were able to put in 2 CPU's on one die or how were they able to put in 8 SPU's ( SPU's is same as CPU but it handles specific tasks )and 1 CPU ( CPU distributes the tasks on SPU's )on one small microchip. The answer is Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography. The process of making chips will start with a laser light that passes through a xenon gas that will create plasma and the plasma will make electrons that can radiates a light at 13 nanometers ( so short that even the human eye could not see ), then it will go into a condenser that gathers light and will pass through a mask then it will be reflected onto 6 mirrors ( not sure is 6 or 4 ) to reduce the size and then into the wafer chip. I really don't know how were they able to make a machine as awesome as this but the only thing that comes inside my mind is that this technology is so Alienated.. SO what do you guys think?
