Favorite Final Fantasy Character(s)?  |

 So what are your favorite Final Fantasy Character(s)?
Optionally what are your favorite Job Classes from the FF universe? Who would your ultimate 4 member party consist of (chose 4 because I feel that's the right mix of balance yet being powerful)?
My favorite actual characters in no particular order are: Tifa, Sabin, Cecil, Cyan, Vivi, Shadow, Rydia, Cloud, Kain, Sephiroth, Edgar, Barret, Gau, and Steiner.
My favorite job classes again in no particular order: Ninja, Summoner, White Mage, Fighter, Black Mage and Theif (well I more like begrudgingly have someone learn some thief skills because who knows when stealing will be useful)
My party (assuming the combat was in the classic turn based not tactical world) would consist of Tifa equipped with some healing and thief skill related materia so I can have a healer who can also hit quite hard and attempt to steal, A random generic character who learned a bit of Black Magic and summons, a Ninja who also learned some thieving skills so s/he can also attempt to steal and Sabin equipped with some Espers that grant healing spells.
With this foursome I figure I have a good mix of people that can hit physically hard, a couple of healers who can heal when they are not busy hitting dudes hard, a couple thieves that can attempt to steal when we do not need so many dudes to be hit hard, and if things get really hairy, someone who can use some fairly powerful black magic or summons (though I doubt I'd be casting anything like Meteo or summoning Bahamut for a LOONG time due to my mages duel classing nature.
Also, upon thinking about this yet not feeling like typing most of my post again I would like to put in some of my other favorite characters and just give them Materia/Espers that would give them the desired skills and spells...but at this point Im lazy:p

Squall can deal a lot of damage to one enemy with his Lionheart which is the best Limit break in FF universe i think.. 9999x20hit WOW
Cloud can deal a lot of damage like squall too.. but the Omnislahs is not effective if the Boss is having a lot of companies
Rinoa can deal damage half from squall's lionheart with his limit break.. just 9999x10hit but she also a magician and summoner who is very important
Irvine with his AP Pulse Limit Break can do a lot of pain too
so basically, i like team with so much damage dealer hehehe

| b1zarr0 (44) | 5 months ago | That is a rather interesting approach and seems effective on paper. How well do those characters fare when they are not in Limit Break mode? (Honestly I have not played FF VII since I watched someone play it and was turned off by this whole draw mechanic which consisted of many a turns being wasted on drawing power or some such instead of fighting dudes).
I was going to add Cloud to my potential team but I figured that would be too easy and everyone would add him (and it only took one response to see that someone else would add him:p ) | |

4.  Eisenherz (2505) | 4 months ago |  Oh such an interesting thread. But I'll be brief and only mention FF IX charachters. Zidane is likable. Vivi, I can't stand him. Steiner is easy to understand, he's faithful and overcaring, just like I am. Garnet is too naive and weak. And well, that's it for now.

| 5. cannior (25) | 4 months ago |  My favorite character in Final Fantasy is Laguna which is the dream partner of squall. I love his limit break which is Desperado. Swinging around the enemy and shooting a gun to it the after that, throwing a grenade for finishing. I really love it!^_^

Favorte enemy: Sephiroth.
I wasn't able to play Final Fantasy 9. I heard it was good. I missed FF12 as well=(
