The six New Zealand players who were playing in the Indian Premier League have signed the New Zealand cricket's Internatinal playing agreements. It shows that they are not at all behind money instead they are more than happy playing for their country. These players sacrificed significant sums of money from the IPL teams as the dates clases with the Australian tour to New Zealand & the IPL 2010 season. The players from other countries should follow suit as playing for the nation is up above anything else. I want to mention these players who had the guts to sacrifice their money. They are Daniel Vettori(Delhi Dare Devils) , Brendon McCullum(Kolkota Knight Riders),Kyle Mills(Mumbai Indians),Jacob Oram(Chennai Super Kings),Ross Taylor & Jesse Ryder(both Bangalore Royal Challengers). HATS OFF TO THESE GUYS!

Yes, indeed they have set a wonderful precedence by choosing to play for their country instead on in the 3rd IPL…and this when I hear that NZ players are neither so well paid nor so pampered as their Indian counterparts. The lure of lucre is very hard to resist and the NZ players have shown exemplary patriotism and sense of ethics.
