Do you iron your hair?

I know that there are so many means now on how to prettify those locks. But mine remains unruly as ever. I have more bad hair days than good ones. (Wrong idiom use I know - just want to use it) So, I always iron my hair every so often. Do you iron your hair too?

Hi eileen! Not bragging but I used to have very nice hair before when I was younger, until college. Now, I just can't seem to let it behave especially when it's wet. There are just so many frizz already and it became wavy instead of straight. I have noticed though that when it's dried properly, it's so much easier to manage and it doesn't get unruly. So that's when I decided to purchase a straightening iron just recently. The one I purchased can be used on wet hair :) I used to own a blow dryer but I find it hard to use and it also doesn't solve my hair frizz problem. So that's why I decided to just purchase a straightening iron. When I use it, I like putting a little bit of baby oil unto my hair first so it wouldn't get so dry from the heat. It also gives a shiny finish :)

Before I iron my hair a lot. My hair was not that pretty and it s quite thick. I always thought that my hair is a curse that time. So I think of buying a hair iron. That's the easiest thing to do that time for me. At first I'm excited ironing my hair. But days passed by, I got tired ironing... Coz it will take my hair to have the style/straight that I want... mmm.. The maximum is 1 & 1/2 hours. I got fed up and think of other things. My sister told me to go to a salon and ask for a salon treatment for my hair. I go to the salon and the lady told me that I can have a straight hair. I got my hair rebonded. It is quite expensive but surely it is worthy. It's been a year now but my hair is pretty straight still. Maybe you should go and try it.

I am a bit old for rebonding. I am not the fashionable type. But your advice is well taken. I will troop to the salon soon so I can feel good for myself.

I don't iron my hair. When I was a teenager, I had a pink crimper and I used to crimp my hair when I wanted waves. I have never had it flat ironed. My sister gave me a flat iron for Christmas a couple of years ago. And, I have never used it. I do want to try the InStyler that is on the T.V. infomercials. I think that I will be able to use this one on my hair. I don't know how to use the flat iron on my hair. I have very long hair and I am afraid of burning my hair. I would rather let someone else flat iron it for me instead.

Before i like to iron my hair, whether have an occasion or not, i just want to try it and i love that my hair has been very straight, such as graduation, wedding, performances, but now i stop it because my hair is more straighter if i don't do iron in my hair and to save energy, and to prevent damage in my hair.

I have quite straight hair so don't really have to use straightening irons very often. If I do use them I will make sure I apply a good heat protection spray to my hair before using them. This just helps protect my hair from any heat damage. I think we all have those bad hair days. I know I've had my fair share

hi, yes, when i was in college i and my classmates ironed our hair during break time because we wanted to have a straight looking hair, but of course everyday ironing of our hair will result to hair damage so we stopped it after three months, and now thanks to hair re-bonding because it will make my hair straight permanently.

No I never have,I do remember my roommates, gram doing theirs and it use to smell burnt. It might be that you are over doing it with your hair.Or just need to find a good line of products to suit your hairs texture. Anything over 180 will be damaging to your hair.

I have a curly hair and they are big curls, so they could become unruly when not ironed. But to save myself from that, i always have it rebonded, every 7 or 8 months. However, i wear bangs so they would be trimmed every now and then , so as not to grow so long and cover my eyes. Thus, it becomes curly earlier , and i have to iron them when it's that and it's a hassle because they would again gets curly and unruly when blown by the wind when i arrive at work.
