From the recent news, due to the impact of this deep recession, school jobs for teachers were also affected. State government of GA has announced the budget cut for many schools and college programs. I was worrying about the public school, where my daughter go to. Will she receive the same quality of education she received in her previous years? She usually participate at extracurricular programs after school, such as Spanish club; soft ball team. Will that be affected too? Does your district area face the same difficulty too?

I live in Florida and the budget cuts are pretty bad over here too. I dont see the level and quality of the education being lower because no matter what a teacher must have the qualificatioins to be a teacher. I do see a lot of the extracurricular activities being cut, that is the easiest way for them to have budget cuts. Hopefully this all gets better soon because we can not afford to cut so much on education.

I live in NC and they are cutting the budget for education too. Many teachers are being let go. This worries me because my boyfriend wants to be a teacher and I hope that he can have job security. It also bugs me because I feel that education is very important in order for the future generations to be successful. State colleges are also being affected. Some of my friends had work study and got fired from it because of budget cuts. I've also noticed that professors will not copy handouts for students. The school will not provide paper for them to do so. I feel like there should be budget cuts to reflect the economy but they should not take as much from education as they do. If the future generation is not educated, those are the doctors and lawyers that will be running things when the current generation needs healthcare and lawyers for wills.
