It has been 2-3 days that I bought Nokia 5130 Xpress music.
Can you tell me,if anyone has this phone or heard from a friend, how is it's performance?
I am finding it pretty good, has a good battery backup and with 16 GB of expandable memory, has a good space to store all your music and photos..

Hi Jimmy,
I will tell you what i heard from others, That might help you for clarification.
My Friend's Statement
Camera quality of Nokia 5130 XpressMusic not very good.Snaps in bright light are good.
(7210 SN camera is a bit better).
The data cable provided is very short.(not a problem if CPU is kept on the desk. But, my friend is kept on the lower shelf of table)
My friend played Asphalt 2 and NFS Carbon while music was playing in the background, there was no hanging/jamming problem with the phone.
though its a music special phone so should have been better than other non-music phones at it.
but i don't think it can match the music playback quality of Nokia 6233 at all. think going for that would have been a better choice.
My Friend's Friend Statement:
my first word bout d phone were"AWESOME,COOL,SEXY,EYE CATCHING"
but,,,,,
wen i checked out the earphones,,,,my mood just got spoiled....
seriously,,,,i wasn't expecting so poor sound quality from a phone tagged with XPRESS MUSIC banner!!!!!
one more thing i noticed was FREQUENT HANGING problem.
So decide yourself friend.. Have a nice time!

i think, it is a nice phone, i had it earlier, i think it hangs a bit when you are opening a folder or coming out from a folder, it you have no problem with that then it is a great buy for you, but if you have problem with that then i think you should go for the sony ericsson mobiles. i think they never hand and they are really good.

I never knew, that 5130 has got a 16GB expandable memory. Naturally the phone will hang, if one is going to stuff so much in that phone. One should remember, that it is a mobile phone first and then only a music player. The only problem I had in 5130 was its head phones, which are of a very cheap quality. The best thing is to throw away those head phones and go in for a good and costly headphones, so that you can hear some good music.

Hey,
Yea the Nokia 5130 Xpress music isn't that bad. But I find that phones like the iPhone dominate this niche market. I think that Nokia needs to get the message across, that in order to compete with the iPhone, they need to produce a phone BETTER than it, not AS good, BETTER than it. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

hello, i own a n5320. i never heard n5130 can hold upto 16gb. Nokia are everys user friendly fone. But i hate it when they released units so very fast. They have tons of unit in the market and it makes the each other a rival. Or it makes each other depreciates their value faster. But in terms of usability they are good.
