Who uses social bookmarking to promote their blogs?

I’ve read bits and pieces about the advantages of using social bookmarking sites such as Stumbleupon and Digg to generate more traffic for your blogs. But I am yet to find any real guidance on the best way to do this. Is it worth bookmarking all your posts on these sites, only the occasional ones, or alternating between different sites when bookmarking?
Advice please from those who are doing this and what sort of increase do you see from doing it?

I used to use Digg a few years ago, but Digg has grown so big with so many users and submissions that it was very hard to get people to read my articles. I've found that Twitter is quite effective for getting more traffic to my blogs. (Sometimes that results in more earnings, sometimes not, but it definitely produces an immediate boost in visitors.)
